This restaurant’s menu will definitely make you want to order everything off the menu. The Cottage, a cute little place by La Jolla shores, is the perfect place to have brunch that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also absolutely delicious. Trying multiple items is made easy for you here since the chefs will spilt the plates for you without a hassle! It’s brunch so you might as well go all out, until the waiter tells you “that’s a lot of food, I think you’re ordering too much”…
The stuffed french toast with brioche, strawberry compote, and mascarpone cheese is definitely to die for.
So Taco Tuesdays are a thing in California. All you taco lovers must try the tacos at The Brigantine in Del Mar. The Classic Brig and carne asada tacos are a stellar combo with their secret hot sauce for a stellar price! Not to mention the seating outside gives you a view of the Del Mar Racetrack and beach, what more could you possibly need during your taco meal?
Small side note: I may or may not have spent almost every Taco Tuesday at the Brig (as us San Diegans call) this past summer because it was so amazing!
Coming back home to Encinitas is always a great time because of the views of the beach and many hole in the wall places along the coastline. This poke bowl place doesn’t have set hours of business and closes once all the bowls run out for the day. If it’s close to lunchtime, you just won’t know if they’re open until you get there. Though once you are able to get yourself a bowl, take it to-go to enjoy a nice view of the beach while indulging the fresh poke.
